Ensure Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is NOT running before you begin. If the simulator is running when you click “Start Service” in the MOD, the service may fail to load.

Open the MSFS2020 Map Enhancement application and configure the settings correctly. There are two versions of the app — one for MSFS 2020 and one for MSFS 2024 — so make sure you are using the correct version. You should find two icons on your desktop after installation.

On the home page, pick your preferred map. If you’re unsure, choose
Bing latest versionorArcGIS.- If you have a professional map license, open the
Licensepage, enter the email and username used to purchase the license, then clickLink Device. If linking succeeds your license details will be displayed.

If everything is working, the
Loaded valuecounter will increase gradually. You can drag the map to see your selected map tiles. -
Start the simulator and enter the main game screen — the newest map tiles will appear. The counter continues to change as you pan the map. If the counter shows persistent errors or grows without settling, check your network configuration.

After the game is running, make sure to perform the checks below. Skipping them may prevent the map from loading, cause distorted map tiles, or in rare cases crash the game.

Verify you are shown as online on the game’s main screen.

In the game’s DATA settings, confirm that
BING online mapis turned on.

The
Rolling cacheoption may be enabled. If you notice image-quality problems, try clearing the rolling cache or disabling it to see if that resolves the issue.
